SANTA FE – The New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) is proud to announce that Antoinette Vigil has joined the department as Deputy Cabinet Secretary.
Vigil comes to ALTSD after serving as the Deputy Cabinet Secretary at the Tourism Department since 2019. She brings 20+ years of public service at the state, municipal and county levels, in varied levels of administration of projects and programs. In addition to her tenure at the Tourism Department, Vigil also served as a Director of Economic, Business and Tourism Development for Sandoval County and has worked with the state’s Economic Development Department.
“I am grateful to continue working alongside Antoinette; we are a dynamic duo,” said Secretary Designate Jen Paul Schroer. “Her time and work with me at the Tourism Department was steadfast and principled, and I have every faith in her ability to carry that over to best serve the Aging and Long-Term Services Department’s constituents.”

I am pleased to be entrusted to lead alongside Secretary Schroer, as a member of the team to marshal the department’s service forward.”
Vigil started as Deputy Cabinet Secretary on Monday, September 4, 2023.
